With a Junior D Semi-Final place at stake, Bective & Rathkenny Gfc Ladies went head-to-head on a Sunday evening under lights in Nobber.
It was a difficult first half for Bective with a goal and a point from Eimear Kinsella keeping them in the game, half time score Bective 1-1 (4), Rathkenny 2-4 (10).
Two minutes into the second half Bective struck early, a goal from Hannah Grant. Bective continued in determined fashion, their backs getting on top and combining well with their midfield & forwards. On 20 minutes a goal, Lucie Larkin followed by a point, Aisling McConnell, put Bective a point up. A tense finish ensued, with Rathkenny edging the victory, full time, Rathkenny 2-7 (13), Bective 3-3 (12).
